The combination of wheezing coughs, cracked lips and puffy eyes is never a pleasant one. Body aches, a dry, burning throat and constantly fluctuating from being drenched in sweat to shivering under a pile of blankets are usually the means to spectacularly miserable days. No arguments against that. There are, however, several perks to being a sniveling mess, as I have discovered over the past few days.
+ Staying in bed watching reruns of New Girl the entire day is regarded as part of your healing process.
+ Boyfriends who wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of your coughing and proceed to warm you up with covers and tight hugs.
+ Eating grilled cheese sandwiches two or more times a day is perfectly alright given that they are the only thing you have any sort of appetite for.
